Access Google Assistant with your voice

Important: To access this feature on some devices, you must have Voice Match.

When you say "Hey Google", this allows you to get hands-free help as it voice activates your Assistant-enabled devices.

When you turn off Voice Match for your home, you can't get personal results on any device in that home unless you set up personal results again. Also, when you turn off this setting, it won't turn off other Assistant audio or personalisation settings.

1. On your iPhone or iPad, open the Google Home app .
2. At the top right, tap your profile picture or initial Assistant settings Voice Match.
   • If you don't find "Voice Match", tap View more settings.
3. Tap the home that you want to remove your voice from Remove Voice Match from this home Remove.

1. Open the Google Home app .
2. At the top right, tap your profile picture or initial Assistant settings Voice Match.
   • If you don't find "Voice Match", tap View more settings.
   • If you have more than one home, tap the home that the device is in.
3. Untick the box next to the device for which you want to turn off Voice Match.
4. Tap Remove.

When you turn off Voice Match for devices you add later, your Assistant won't recognise your voice. Also, this won't give personal results on new devices added to your home.

1. On your iPhone or iPad, open the Google Home app .
2. At the top right, tap your profile picture or initial Assistant settings Voice Match.
   • If you don't find "Voice Match", tap View more settings.
   • If you have more than one home, tap the home for which you want to update Voice Match settings.
3. Turn off Devices that you add later.

Tip: You can also remove Voice Match from all devices. To remove Voice Match, tap Remove Voice Match from all my devices.
