If you have trouble with sending and receiving messages or calls, make sure that you have the requirements needed to make and receive phone calls and SMS texts on a Pixel Watch.
Can't make outgoing phone calls
Both the Pixel Watch LTE and Pixel Watch Wi-Fi can make outgoing phone calls. If you have an LTE operator plan, you can make calls without your phone nearby, while the Pixel Watch Wi-Fi version must be connected to Bluetooth to make a call.
- Confirm that all steps were fully completed during setup.
- Check your connection to Bluetooth and Wi-Fi or LTE.
Follow the instructions below to confirm that your watch is connected:
On the Google Pixel Watch LTE: verify that you have a mobile watch
- On the Google Pixel Watch, swipe down tap Settings .
- Tap Connectivity Mobile.
If you don't see a mobile setting, your watch does not have mobile service. You must have a Google Pixel Watch LTE in order to get mobile service on your watch. You must use the same operator for both your watch and phone service.
On the Google Pixel Watch Wi-Fi: verify that you are connected to Bluetooth
- On the Google Pixel Watch, swipe down tap Settings .
- Tap Connectivity Bluetooth turn on Bluetooth.
- Make sure that your nearby phone is connected to Bluetooth as well.
Can't send or receive SMS/MMS messages
Note: The Google Pixel Watch syncs texts with your phone so your connected phone must be online.
Not receiving notifications for missed calls
If you have missed calls that you haven't received notifications for, make sure that you're not muting call notifications.
- On the Google Pixel Watch, swipe down from the top of the screen.
- Make sure that the modes that mute notifications are turned off.
