You can purchase apps and digital content on Google Play using payment methods from your Google account. If it's your first time making a purchase, your payment method will be added to your Google account.

Available payment methods vary by country. If your country is not listed, scroll down.
You can add the following credit/debit cards to your account:
- Mastercard
- Visa
- Visa Electron
- Rupay (One-time purchases only)
Note: The types of cards accepted through Google Play may vary. If your card doesn't work when you think it should, contact your bank or card issuer for help. You may notice temporary authorizations on your account when using a credit or debit card.
Due to Reserve Bank of India (RBI) card storage regulations, from October 1, 2022, Google can’t save customer card details such as card number, expiry date, etc. in the current format. With your authorization, we’ll save your card details in a format that complies with RBI regulations and keep your sensitive card details secure. - Name: Netbanking
- Netbanking is only available on Android versions 5.0 and above.
- Netbanking can be used to purchase prepaid plans for apps that support prepaid subscriptions.
- Transactions on your bank statement will reference either “Google Play” or “Times of Money.”
Online banking information:
- Google does not store your bank account credentials like username, password, or account number.
- Every transaction needs to be confirmed through your bank’s app or website.
- Online banking can be used at play.google.com or with versions 6.4.0 or above of the Google Play Store app.
- Online banking may be used to top-up your Play Balance or to make purchases. You may use your Play Balance to pay for subscriptions you want.
With some mobile devices and service plans, you can charge purchases to your carrier bill.

When you buy something, you'll see the charge on your carrier account after 15 minutes.
Note: You may see an SMS (text message) starting with "DCB" or "DCB_Association" on your phone when you sign up for mobile phone billing. The message is automatically generated and sent to complete enrollment in mobile phone billing for your Google Play account.
Important information for Mobile billing users in India
Important: From July 31, 2024 onwards, Idea and Vodafone Mobile billing will be suspended as an accepted form of payment on Google Play.
Users are advised to add an alternative form of payments in their play account. Users are also advised to update their existing subscriptions with the alternative payment method to avoid interruptions. If you don't see a carrier billing option, keep in mind:
- Mobile phone billing is only available using the Google Play Store app. It isn't available on the Google Play website on a computer or mobile browser.
- Your account with your carrier must be in good standing.
- If you use a device with dual SIM cards, make sure to put the right SIM card in slot 1 and leave slot 2 empty.
- Mobile phone billing is not available on rooted devices.
- Some mobile phone carriers can't be used to pay for subscriptions.
Check with your carrier to make sure:
- You haven't exceeded your carrier's monthly spending limit.
- Your device and service plan allow premium content purchases.
- Your device can use mobile phone billing.
Cancelled purchases
Purchases that aren't successfully authorized with your carrier are immediately cancelled. For help with unsuccessful mobile phone billing purchases, contact your mobile service provider.

- Buy apps and digital content on Google Play.
- Pay for subscriptions on Google Play.

Google Play supports UPI for all providers. You can use UPI to purchase subscriptions for apps that offer subscriptions.
You can make recurring payments with UPI Autopay (e.g monthly subscription payments for YouTube Premium, Google One and others) by creating a mandate. With this feature, you can set up the amount, frequency, or duration of automatic payments that won’t require your authentication every time.
You can use one of the eWallets listed below to buy apps and digital content on Google Play. To use this service on Google Play, you need a registered account and enough balance with the eWallet.
Important information for PayTM users in India
Important: From July 15th onwards, PayTM eWallet will no longer be available as an accepted form of payment on Google Play.
