Take a screenshot of all or part of your Pixel Slate screen. Screenshots save as an image file in your “Downloads” folder.

Laptop mode
With a keyboard, you can take a screenshot of your entire screen or a portion of the screen you select.
- Entire screen: Press Ctrl + .

Partial screen: Press Ctrl + Shift + .
Tablet mode
- Entire screen: Press Power button + Volume down button.
Take a screenshot with the Pixelbook Pen
Use your Pixelbook Pen to take a screenshot of your entire screen or a portion of the screen you select.
Entire screen:
- In the bottom right, select Pen .
- Select Capture screen.
Partial screen:
- In the bottom right, select Pen .
- Select Capture region.
- Using your pen, touch the screen where you want to start your screenshot. Then, drag it across the area want to capture.
- Lift the pen to finish taking the screenshot.
View, share, or annotate your screenshot
Once you take a screenshot, it’s automatically saved to the “Downloads” folder in the Files app .
You’ll also see a notification in the bottom right of your screen with a preview of your screenshot and these options for next steps:
- Show in folder: This option takes you to the screenshot selected in the “Downloads” folder of the Files app .
- Copy to clipboard: This option copies the screenshot to your clipboard so that you can paste it into a document, email, or other valid field.
- Annotate image: This option opens the screenshot in Google Keep , where you can use your finger or Pixelbook Pen to add notes or other markings to the screenshot. Your screenshot will save as a note in Google Keep, which you can share, use in a document or presentation, and more.
