Once you've created and saved a template, you can reopen and edit it. Any dynamic settings created as custom columns can be edited.
To edit a template custom column:
- Sign in to your Search Ads 360 experience.
- Navigate to a sub-manager account.
- From the page menu, under “Tools & settings”, click the Templates drop-down.
- Click Templates.
- In the "Templates" reporting table, locate the template that includes the dynamic setting you want to edit.
- In the template row, click the gear icon.
The template opens at Step 1 Template settings. - Navigate through the template flow to locate the dynamic setting that you want to edit, proceeding to each next step by clicking Save and continue.
- To edit the dynamic setting through the pop-up formula editor:
- Click the adjacent icon.
The formula editor dialog is displayed showing the existing custom column formula. - Edit the formula.
Check the Use the pop-up formula editor. - Click Done.
- Click the adjacent icon.
- To edit the dynamic setting as text:
- Click into the space above the line that displays the current formula.
This is where you edit the formula as text. - Edit the formula:
- Click to enter columns by selecting them from the sub-menu.
- Click sub-menu.
- Use standard mathematical operators.
- Apply other requirements as described in Syntax and Functions.
- Click into the space above the line that displays the current formula.
- Click Save and continue at each step until you reach Step 3.
- Preview the first one hundred examples generated from the edited template to ensure your requirements are met.
If your requirements are not met, return to the step containing the dynamic setting and continue editing. - When you’re satisfied with the preview examples at Step 3, click Save and continue to apply the template changes.
