Remove Google Ads assets

This article applies only to Google Ads accounts in the new Search Ads 360.

Assets add information about your business to your ads and typically boost your ads' performance. If you want to remove assets, though, follow the instructions in this article.

This feature isn't available yet in the new Search Ads 360.

Check the Experience hub to stay up to date on your available features, including bidding.

Remove Google Ads assets

To remove a manual asset from your campaign:

  1. Sign in to your Search Ads 360 experience.
  2. Navigate to a Google Ads client account.
  3. From the page menu, click Assets.
  4. In the "Assets" column of the table, select the checkbox next to each asset you want to remove.
  5. In the blue bar above the table, click Remove.

Removing an asset from one campaign won’t remove the asset from other campaigns.

Remove automated assets

Automated assets can improve the quality of your ad by including information about your business or changing the format of your ad. The Google Ads system includes automated assets to your text ads when it predicts that the assets can improve your ad's performance.

Turning off an automated asset stops that asset from showing with ads in the account.

To turn off an automated asset:

  1. Sign in to your Search Ads 360 experience.
  2. Navigate to a Google Ads client account.
  3. From the page menu, click Assets.
  4. Click the three-dot more icon ; above the table, then click Account-level automated assets.
  5. Click the three-dot menu above the table, then click on the Account-level automated assets settings tab.
  6. Click any of the automated assets sections to expand the section and select Off.
  7. Select your reason for turning off the asset and add additional comments.
  8. Click Save.
When you turn off automated call assets or automated message assets, you block new automated assets from being created, but existing automated assets may still show with your ads.
