About Google Ads automated assets

This article applies only to Google Ads accounts in the new Search Ads 360.

Automated assets in Google Ads can give you more robust ads and more chances to win new customers. When an automated asset is predicted to improve your ad’s performance, Google Ads automatically creates and shows it below your ad. Most automated assets are eligible to show with all ad types, but some only show on desktop and laptop computers.

View automated assets

In Google Ads, you can see which automated assets have been added to your ads by clicking Ads & assets in the left page menu and selecting Automated assets in the expanded menu below. To remove automated assets from your ads, see Remove Google Ads assets.

Types of automated assets

Automated call assets

When your website indicates that your business goals include getting people to call you, Google Ads may set up automated call assets. On mobile, people can click your asset to call your business. Learn more About call assets.

Dynamic sitelink assets

Sitelink assets help get people to the right place on your website. For example, if you run a restaurant, your sitelinks might include links with the following display text: Hours, Menu, Delivery. Learn more About dynamic sitelink assets.

Dynamic structured snippet assets

Structured snippets include additional descriptive text that helps people get a better sense of the range of products and services your business has to offer. Learn more About dynamic structured snippet assets.

Example

Automated location assets

Location assets can help people find your locations by showing your ads with your address, a map to your location, or the distance to your business. People can then click or tap your asset to get further details about your location on your location page, which includes the most relevant business information all in one place. Location assets may also include a phone number or call button so that users can easily call your business. Learn more About location assets.

Seller ratings assets

Seller ratings show a combination of information and reviews next to your ads, letting people know which advertisers are highly rated for quality service. Learn more About seller ratings assets.

Example

Sarah's Designer Shoe Store
Ad example.com

4.0 ★★★★ rating for sarah-shoes.com

Dynamic callout assets

Dynamic callouts help people decide whether to visit your site by showing relevant information about the products and services offered on your site. If an advertiser’s landing page mentions potentially useful information like “25 years of experience,” “Book online,” and “Certified technicians,” that information could automatically show with the ad text as dynamic callouts. Learn more About dynamic callout assets.

How they work

There's no cost when assets show with your ads, but you're typically charged as usual for clicks on your ad, as well as for certain interactions that assets provide. For example, you're charged when someone clicks on a call button from an automated call asset or a message button from an automated message asset. However, there's no charge for clicks on seller ratings assets (but clicks on the ads themselves are charged as usual).

Assets tend to boost ad performance, making your ads more likely to be clicked. Google Ads charges no more than two clicks (per impression) on each ad and its assets. To opt out of automated assets, see Remove assets.

Automated assets are compatible with campaigns and ad groups that also use manual assets. We recommend that you use all manual assets that fit your business. To learn more, see About assets.
