Adjust bids for Google Ads location targets with a Search Ads 360 bid strategy

Create and apply a Search Ads 360 bid strategy for location-target bid adjustments

To create and apply a Search Ads 360 bid strategy for location-target bid adjustments:

  1. Start creating a conversions, revenue, or advanced targeting bid strategy.

  2. In the Engine account list, select a Google Ads account.

  3. Choose a Conversions, Revenue, or Advanced targeting goal.
Options appear for optimization and bid adjustments.

  4. By default, the Search Ads 360 bid strategy automatically optimizes bids for keywords and product groups, and recommends bid adjustments for location targets (and recommends other types of bid adjustments).

If you want the bid strategy to automatically set the bid adjustment for location targets, in the Bid adjustments section, select the Location target bid adjustments check box.

Search Ads 360 requires that auto-tagging  is enabled for your Google Ads accounts at least 32 days before you allow a bid strategy to set location target bid adjustments to give the bid strategy enough time to learn and observe activity in campaign.
  5. Finish creating the bid strategy.

  6. Apply the bid strategy to a campaign.
