Create custom parameters

You can create custom parameters when you do any of the following:

  • Create or edit Google Ads manual campaigns and ad groups. Just enter custom parameters in the Custom parameter fields, which appear in the UI alongside the other properties you can define.

  • Create new text ads, keywords, and other targeting items in a Google Ads account. The Custom parameter fields appear in the UI alongside the other properties you can define.

  • Use bulksheets if you're creating custom parameters across a large number of campaigns, ad groups, or targeting items, or if you're creating custom parameters for product groups.

  • If you're adding custom parameters to existing ads, keywords, or other targeting items, use bulksheets.

Next step

Use the custom parameters in a Final URL Suffix or in landing page URLs for specific ads, keywords, or other targeting items.
