Learn how to send your trade-in device

Fully reset your trade-in device for maximum value

To send your trade-in device, use the prepaid trade-in kit sent to you and follow the detailed instructions included in the kit.

  1. Prepare your old device:
    1. Transfer data from your old device to your new one.
    2. Remove activation locks from the device. If the device has activation locks turned on, PCS Wireless can't properly evaluate your device and it’ll be returned to you.
    3. Factory reset the device. Do not reset through the Recovery menu or with your device's buttons. If PCS Wireless receives a device that hasn't been reset, they'll attempt to reset it. If the device fails the reset process, it'll be returned to you.
    4. Erase any downloaded SIMs or remove any SIM and memory cards.
    5. Power off the device.
  2. Pack your device in the prepaid trade-in kit.
  3. Attach the delivery label.
  4. Send the device to PCS Wireless through Australia Post. Find Australia Post locations near you.
    1. If you don't want to continue with your trade-in, throw the trade-in kit away.
    2. Once you send in your device, you can't cancel the trade-in process.
    3. Do not send in devices with damaged or swollen batteries. These won't receive any credit and can't be returned.
