Return your Google Store purchase

3. Package your item for return

Transfer, back up, or erase all data on the item and then reset it to factory settings. Google isn’t responsible for the use or disclosure of data on the item.

Prepare to return your item

  1. Before you return your device, back up data if needed.
  2. Factory reset your device, if necessary, and remove the SIM card.
  3. Pack your item in the box your purchase came in. Include these items in your package:
    • The item or accessory.
    • If eligible for refund: Include other accessories, documentation, and anything else that came with the item.
    • If eligible for replacement: Only include the item you want to exchange.
    • The return slip from your return confirmation email.
      • You can skip this step if you are returning through a QR code.
  4. Remove these items from your package:
    • SIM card
    • Item cases
    • Extended batteries
    • Accessories that didn’t come with the item
  5. Place the shipping label on the outside of the package.
    • If you selected Paperless return, you can skip this step and move to ‘Send your item back to Google’.
