- Use the YouTube mobile app to open a Short or long form video.
- Under the long form video, select Super Thanks . If you’re watching a Short, tap Comments Super Thanks .
- Choose the amount that you want to spend.
- Each animation has a different price. If you pay more, you get a more elaborate Super Thanks animation.
- As an added bonus, you also get a distinct, colorful, and customizable comment. To customize your Super Thanks comment, tap Edit next to the default text. You can also edit your comment after it’s published.
- Select BUY AND SEND.
- To complete the purchase, follow the on-screen instructions.
Once you buy Super Thanks, your comment is posted in the comments section, with a colorful chip next to it. Your purchase amount is publicly viewable in your comment.

Creator revenue for Super Thanks
Creators receive 70% of Super Thanks revenue that is recognized by Google after local sales tax and applicable App Store fees on iOS are deducted. Transaction costs, including credit card fees, are currently covered by YouTube.
