Manage demand channel settings

To manage the data you share with demand channels, you can review and update your demand channel settings. You can apply different settings to different demand channels. For example, you can turn on Creative restrictions for Authorized Buyers and turn it off for Open Bidders.

To create exceptions for individual bidders, you can create override groups. Override groups let you apply specific settings to a chosen group of bidders in a demand channel.

View or update demand channel settings

You can view and update demand channel settings separately or all at once. For example, you can choose to view only the settings for Authorized Buyers.  

  1. Sign in to Google Ad Manager.
  2. Click Delivery and then Demand channel settings
  3. (Optional) To view settings for a single demand channel, click a filter, such as Authorized Buyers.
    By default, All demand channels is selected.   
  4. To view the details of a setting, click Expand Expand or Expand all settings.
    • To turn on a setting, click the switch on On.
    • To turn off a setting, click the switch off off disable.

  5. Click Save.

View, edit, or create override groups 

You can add individual bidders to override groups you create, and select the settings for the group. The settings you apply to an override group apply to the bidders in it, overriding the general settings for the demand channel. 

To view and edit bidder groups, the "View bidders" and "Edit bidders" permissions must be enabled. By default, these permissions include the following user roles:

  • View bidders: admin, executive, trafficker, salesperson, sales manager
  • Edit bidders: admin, trafficker, salesperson, sales manager
     

Create an override group 

  1. Sign in to Google Ad Manager.

  2. Click Delivery and then Demand channel settings.
  3. Click Override groups and then Add override group.
  4. Under “Group settings:”
    1. Enter a name for the override group.
    2. Select the demand channel for the group.
    3. To view the details of a setting, click Expand Expand
    4. To enable or disable the setting for the group, turn the switch on On or off off disable.
    5. Click Continue.
  5. Under “Add bidders:”
    1. To add a bidder, check the box next to their name. 
    2. To finish, click Add bidders.

View or edit override groups

  1. Sign in to Google Ad Manager.

  2. Click Delivery and then Demand channel settings.
  3. Click Override groups.
  4. Review your existing override groups.
    Tip: To view the bidders in a group, under “Bidders,” hover over the number of bidders. 
  5. To change the bidders in a group, click the group’s name and then Bidders and then Edit bidders.
    1. Next to a bidder's name, check the box to add them, or uncheck the box to remove them.
    2. Click Save.
  6. To edit a group's settings, click the group’s name.
    1. Under "Settings," make your changes.
    2. Click Save
  7. To delete a group, next to the group’s name, check the box and then click Delete and then Confirm.  

Move bidders to a different override group

  1. Sign in to Google Ad Manager.

  2. Click Delivery and then Bidders.
  3. Next to a bidder’s name, check the box.
  4. Click Move to and then select the desired group.
  5. Click Confirm.
