Reducing complexity to offer a better experience

To reduce complexity and provide better support, we occasionally retire dimensions, metrics, and report types. Details about what's changing, and what to use as a replacement, are listed in the table below.

How will I know what's being retired?
Watch the "Coming soon" section of our biweekly release notes for regular communications about any scheduled deprecation or deletion. Relevant items will also be labeled "deprecated" or "discontinued" in the product interface, but not officially removed until the date announced in the release notes.
  • Deprecated: This dimension or metric will be removed from the Ad Manager UI in the future. You're encouraged to use alternative dimensions or metrics instead.

  • Discontinued: This dimension or metric can no longer be used in reports and will be removed from the Ad Manager UI soon.

Deprecation of reporting metrics
Google Ad Manager is ending support for metrics, dimensions and attributes with low usage or related to obsolete products. These fields will be labeled as deprecated in the Reporting UI and API and removed after a limited grace period.

The following Dynamic allocation opportunity metrics are to be removed:

  • Impressions competing
  • Eligible impressions
  • Impressions not competing
  • Impressions not competing (%)
  • Dynamic allocation saturation rate
  • Dynamic allocation match rate
  • Unfilled competing impressions

Deprecation of reporting metrics
The following metrics are no longer supported based on the introduction of Yield groups. Use "Yield group" as an alternative. The following metrics are removed:

  • SDK mediation creative clicks
  • SDK mediation creative impressions

Google Ad Manager is ending support for metrics, dimensions and attributes with low usage or related to obsolete products. These fields will be labeled as deprecated in the Reporting UI and API and removed after a limited grace period. The following metrics/dimensions are to be removed:
  • PPID presence
  • User identifier status
  • Buying agency

Google Ad Manager is ending support for metrics, dimensions and attributes with low usage or related to obsolete products. These fields will be labeled as deprecated in the Reporting UI and API and removed after a limited grace period. The following metrics/dimensions are to be removed:
  • Mediation third-party impressions
  • Mediation third-party revenue
  • Total Multiplex cell impressions
  • TCF vendor
  • TCF vendor ID
  • Ad server CPF revenue
  • Partner label
