In which countries is the Pixel Buds Pro 2 available?

The list of country availability can be found in Devices and services country availability.

When will Gemini be available on Pixel Buds?

Gemini will start rolling out to Pixel Buds when Pixel Buds Pro 2 are available on 26 September 2024. It will take a few weeks to reach all customers.

Will Pixel Buds Pro 2 support spatial audio with head tracking?

Yes.

Why don't my buds fit my ears correctly?

Pixel Buds Pro 2 were designed to be the most comfortable and secure fitting earbuds. We recommend trying at least two different ear tip sizes per ear, since left and right sizes can differ, to get the perfect fit. You can also try our fit test in the Pixel Buds app. Use the twist-to-adjust stabiliser to lock them into your ear for exercise.

What are the differences between Pixel Buds Pro 2 and Pixel Buds A-Series?

How do I pair my Pixel Buds?

You can pair your Pixel Buds to your device via Bluetooth. Learn how to set up your Pixel Buds.

How do I get the Pixel Buds app?

You can download the Pixel Buds app by searching for it on the Google Play Store. For Pixel on Android 10+, the Pixel Buds app is integrated into the Bluetooth device details, so you don't need to download the app separately. There is no Pixel Buds app on iOS, but Pixel Buds will work as standard Bluetooth® earbuds.

Why does one earbud show a different battery level to the other?

Because the two earbuds serve different functions at different times to maximise battery, one earbud may consume more battery than the other. An algorithm looks after the battery on each earbud and can switch either earbud to support functions that consume more battery, while intelligently prioritising high-quality connectivity and playback performance. On voice calls, the algorithm is more conservative to avoid any dropped audio, so while after a long call there may be a more noticeable battery difference, you will likely see it even out if you switch to streaming audio or other functions afterwards.

How can I improve the clarity of my voice on calls?

If you are in a noisy environment, Transparency mode on the Google Pixel Buds Pro series may interfere with your mic output quality since it uses one of the microphones to let you hear your surroundings. Try changing ANC modes to improve your call quality.

How can I find my Pixel Buds with Find My Device?

If your Pixel Buds are still connected to your Pixel or Android 6.0+ device, you may want to ring your Pixel Buds. If they're not connected anymore, you can check their last known location.

Pixel Buds Pro 2 supports the new Find My Device network, so you can find your earbuds' precise location on a map. When you're close, just ring the buds or the charging case to find them even faster. The charging case has its own speaker, so it's easier for you to hear where your buds are.

I lost my earbud! Can I get another?

If a part of your Pixel Buds gets lost or damaged, you can get a replacement.

How do I clean my Pixel Buds?

For Google Pixel Buds A-Series, use a clean, soft, dry lint-free cloth. For the Google Pixel Buds Pro series, first, use your lint-free cloth and if there is still debris, use an adhesive putty. When cleaning the earbuds, carefully remove any earwax or lint around the snout area. A clean snout area will ensure that sound quality and volume aren't negatively impacted. Don't use wet wipes, alcohol wipes or any cleaning solutions, as they may damage the earbuds or leave residue on the charging contacts. Wipe the buds and their charging contact area dry when putting them back into the charging case. Learn more.

How can I remove scuff marks from my charging case?

The matte finish of the charging case can be scuffed if dropped or mishandled. However, marks can usually be removed with careful cleaning. Learn more.

How do I turn off my Pixel Buds?

Your Pixel Buds are designed so that they don't need to be powered off. When you've finished using them, place them in the wireless charging case and they will automatically disconnect and charge.

I love bass! Can I boost the bass on my earbuds?

Yes. Pixel Buds have an equaliser setting that will give your music a little more oomph. Learn more about the settings for different Pixel Buds: Pixel Buds, Pixel Buds Pro series and Pixel Buds A-Series.

Using the correct eartip size, and making sure that your earbuds are worn correctly, can also improve bass. Learn more.

Why doesn't my music automatically start playing when I place an earbud back into my ear?

If you're using a single earbud on your own, tap play to resume listening. If the problem persists, check that in-ear detection is turned on and that the in-ear sensor window is cleaned (the black window near the eartip).
Note: Some apps and devices aren't compatible with the automatic play/pause in-ear detection feature. If it was working before, performing a factory reset might help recover the feature.
