Changes to user types and management in the new Search Ads 360

User management

Previously only agency managers could add, edit, or remove users. In the new Search Ads 360, manager account and sub-manager accounts have their own sets of users. An admin of a manager or sub-manager account can manage that account's users. Manager account admins can also make changes to the users of sub-manager accounts below the manager account.

To manage users, from the page menu, under “Tools and settings”, click Setup, and then click Access & security.

User roles

Each user in the new Search Ads 360 is assigned a user role (previously called "user type") that determines what information the user can access and which tasks they can perform. User roles have expanded in the new Search Ads 360 with the addition of roles that include billing management and an email-only role.

Billing permissions

The new Search Ads 360 has a new billing management tool that includes such features as billing profiles and invoices. The following user roles can access the billing tool:

  • Admin
  • Billing

Only users with the "Admin" role can grant billing access to other users. At least one user for each manager account should have this role. Contact support if you can't identify an admin with billing access for your account.
