Report by audience demographics and other characteristics

Segment a report by audience

To add audience details to a report:

  1. Navigate to an advertiser or lower scope.

  2. Click the Engine accounts, Campaigns or Ad groups tab.
(The Engine accounts tab is available only at the advertiser scope.)

  3. Optionally use a filter to display just the accounts, campaigns, or ad groups you're interested in.

  4. Select a time range in the top right corner of the page.
Audience data is updated once a day. Today's data isn't included in the metrics.

  5. From the View menu, select Sales or Actions.
Alternatively, remove the impression and position-based columns from the default report, such as Impr and CTR. These types of columns cannot appear in audience reports.

  6. Click the Segment button, which appears above the performance summary graph and do the following:

    1. Click the + Segment list, then click Audience from the left side of the list.
Click Audience from the left side of the segment list.

    2. Click one of the audience characteristics.

    3. Click Apply.

The report shows which accounts, campaigns, or ad groups perform better or worse for particular audiences.

See an empty report, missing conversions, or duplicated conversions?

Make sure the report contains only the supported metrics, such as Floodlight conversions. If you include columns for engine metrics, such as Impr and CTR, the report will be empty. These types of columns cannot appear in audience reports.

Not every conversion is associated with a specific type of audience, and some conversions are associated with multiple audiences, so summing up the total number of conversions when viewing an audience report could be misleading. When you view affinity category, in-market segment, and Campaign Manager 360 remarketing list reports, Search Ads 360 automatically removes the summary rows.

Optionally, do any of the following:
