Download a report

To analyze your account's performance offline and integrate the data with your reporting systems, download performance data using any of the following methods:

  • Use the Search Ads 360 reporting API to fully automate integrating Search Ads 360 reporting data with data you already have about your products, customers, and business goals (from a CRM system, for example).
  • Download from the Search Ads 360 UI into bulksheets or schedule recurring downloads and have Search Ads 360 email the bulksheet to you. By default, the download contains the same data that you see in the Search Ads 360 reporting table, along with additional columns for editing campaign, ad group, or other settings (depending on which report you're downloading). You can customize the data that will be downloaded.

Note: The previous Search Ads 360 Reporting API is going away and will be decommissioned on June 30, 2024. All new development should use the new Search Ads 360 Reporting API, now available as an open beta release. We also strongly recommend that you begin planning to migrate any existing Search Ads 360 implementations to the new API. See the new Search Ads 360 Reporting API Getting Started and Migration Guide for more information.

Use the new Search Ads 360 Reporting API (beta)

The new Search Ads 360 Reporting API provides enhanced flexibility to build custom reports and integrate the data into your reporting applications and processes. Using a simple query language, you can directly query all Search Ads 360 data, from campaigns to specific keywords that triggered an ad.

Download reports into bulksheets

  1. Navigate to a reporting table.
For example, to report on the performance of a campaign's keywords, navigate to a campaign and click the Keywords tab.

  2. Select a time range for the report.

  3. Optionally adjust the type of data that displays  in the report by doing any of the following:

  4. Specify the items to include in the report by doing either of the following in the reporting table:

    • Select the check box next to each item to include

    • Filter the table so it contains only the items you want to report on

  5. Click the download icon , which appears above the reporting table.

  6. In the download panel, optionally make adjustments to the data that will be downloaded:

    • Use the Scope list to change the report's scope.
Be sure to select Current selection in table in the Scope list if you selected specific items in the reporting table.
If you select Current scope, the download includes the data within the scope of the current reporting table. Any filters specified are applied before starting the download. For example, if you navigate to a campaign, click the Keywords tab and use a filter to display only "Exact match" keywords, the report only contains data for exact match keywords in the current campaign.

    • Use the Format list to select the file type for your report.

    • Use the Columns list to select the columns you want in the download:

      • Editable columns (for re-upload): Exports a file that includes columns you can use to edit the settings of the items in the report. You can then make changes in the file and upload it back into Search Ads 360.

      • Currently visible in table (for reporting): Exports a file that contains all the columns that appear in the reporting table.

    • Next to Include types, you can change the types of objects that will be included in the report. For example, if you select keywords and ads, there will be a separate row in the report for each ad and keyword in the report's scope.

    • Clear the Include rows with no impressions check box to exclude the rows of data that have no associated visits or impressions. This is a way to streamline the data that appears in your reports by making one click directly in the download panel. For example, if a campaign is paused, its keywords still have rows in a downloaded report. If you clear this check box, Search Ads 360 excludes the rows that have no activity.

The following table shows which download settings are available based on the object you're scoped to and objects that you're including in the download:

    • File format: You'll either be able to select from Excel CSV/Comma CSV or XLSX/XLS/Excel CSV/Comma CSV.
    • Editable files: The option to select editable columns.
    • UI download/Email: The report will either be emailed, or we'll download the file in the UI.

  7. Select the Email report check box to receive the report in an email instead of downloading it to your browser's download directory.
Search Ads 360 sends an email to the addresses specified when it finishes generating the report. The email contains a download link.

If you want the email to contain the report as an attachment instead of containing a download link, select the Include this file as an attachment check box.

  8. Optionally click Schedule download, and set up a schedule to deliver reports on a regular basis.

  9. Click Download.
Search Ads 360 generates the report and either downloads the file to your browser's download directory or sends an email, depending on the delivery option selected.

If you selected to download a report and the report is very large, it may take awhile for Search Ads 360 to generate the report. You can still use Search Ads 360 while the report is generating. A status bar indicates the report generation progress. When it's complete, a Download link displays in the status bar. Click the link to download the report.

Large Excel downloads (with 100,000 or more rows) only work for reports that you receive by email; they won’t work for reports that are downloaded directly in the UI.
