Copying from Google Ads to Google Ads destination

When the new Search Ads 360 creates new campaigns, ad groups, ads, keywords, negative keywords, and assets as part of a copy operation, only some of the settings are copied from the source campaign, as described below.

Campaign settings for Google Ads

For each source campaign, the new Search Ads 360 creates a new campaign and copies the settings listed below.
Google Ads settings
Campaign type
Name

Daily budget:

When needed, the new Search Ads 360 converts daily budget to the currency of the destination engine.

Ad delivery method

Start date and End date:

If the start date in the source campaign is in the past, the new Search Ads 360 uses today's date in the destination campaign, or tomorrow’s date if the campaign is a flighted budget campaign.

If the end date in the source campaign is in the past, and the source campaign requires an end date (such as a flighted budget campaign), the new Search Ads 360 uses the source campaign’s end date if it’s set. If no end date has been set, it calculates the end date by adding today’s date plus the original campaign duration. If the source campaign doesn’t require an end date, the new Search Ads 360 uses the source campaign’s end date if it’s set. If no end date has been set, it uses no end date.

Ad rotation

Location targets:

  • Country
  • Region
  • Metro
  • City

The new Search Ads 360 only copies location targets into new campaigns. The new Search Ads 360 doesn’t update location targets in any existing campaign copies.
