You can add, move, or remove cards, passes, tickets, keys, and IDs to Google Wallet:
- In the app
- Online
- In other apps with the “Add to Google Wallet” option
- Across other Google products like Gmail
Important: Items may be managed differently across different devices and applications.
Add items to Google Wallet
Add an item with the Google Wallet app- Open the Google Wallet app .
- At the bottom, tap Add to Wallet .
- Choose the type of item that you want to add. You can add a:
- Payment card
- Transit pass
- Loyalty card
Tip: Some items may not be available in your country or state.- Gift card
- To add the item to Google Wallet, follow the on-screen instructions.
If you’re signed in to your Google account on your phone, you may find the “Add to Google Wallet” option on select websites or apps. This option lets you add a card or pass to Google Wallet directly.
Some examples of items that you can add to Google Wallet this way are:
- Events tickets, like concerts, theater performances, and sporting events
- Credit cards
- Health pass
- Transit pass
- Campus ID
- Corporate badges
- Hotel keys
To add a card or pass:
- Tap Add to Google Wallet Add to Wallet.
- You may be asked to verify your identity with your screen lock or password.
- If you have more than one Google Account, choose the one you want to save the card or pass to.
- Read and accept the terms.
- If you have the Google Wallet app: The card or pass is added to your wallet.
- If you don’t have the Google Wallet app: You’re prompted to download the app to continue. Follow the on-screen instructions.

To add an item from your Gmail inbox automatically:
- On your Android phone, open the Gmail app .
- Tap Menu Settings the account that you want to change.
- To turn on data sharing, under “General,” turn “smart features and personalization in other Google products” on or off.
Tip: If you delete the email with your pass, loyalty card, or ticket, it is removed from Google Wallet. If you delete a Gmail message, it stays in your trash for 30 days. After that, the email is deleted permanently. You can add the pass again with the Google Wallet app.
You can save passes to Google Wallet from an image. Examples include:
- Library cards
- Gym passes
- Parking passes
Add a pass from a photo
- Take a clear and high-resolution photo of the pass with your phone.
- Open the Google Wallet app .
- Tap Add to Wallet Photo.
- Select a clear and large photo of the barcode.
- Add a name and description for the pass.
- Tap Add.
- To use the pass, select the pass and scan the barcode or QR code at a reader.
Tip: To find the original image used to create the pass, in the top right, tap .
You can save passes to Google Wallet from an image. Examples include:
- Library cards
- Gym passes
- Insurance cards
Add a pass to your Google Wallet
- Open the Google Wallet app .
- Tap Add to Wallet Everything Else.
- Accept the Consent Term.
- If you don't accept, you can only create passes from images containing Barcodes.
- Take a clear picture or select the image file in the picker
- Preview the information extracted from the image and make edits, if needed.
- Tap Add to save the pass.
Tip: You can find the original image used to create the pass just below the saved pass.
Important: A converted pass may be limited in functionality and you may not get updates about the pass.
You can save passes from different places online in Google Wallet. Some of the passes must be converted from their original format.
- To add the pass to Google Wallet, open the pass.
- Select Google Wallet.
- To make Google Wallet app as default, tap Always.
- Tap Continue.
- You may have to verify your identity.
- Tap I understand.
Tip: After the pass is added, you’ll find a confirmation message.
I can’t add my pass to Google Wallet
If you get an error message when you save the pass, there’s an issue with the pass. To resolve the issue, contact the pass issuer.
You can save passes to Google Wallet from scanning a barcode. Examples include:
- Library cards
- Gym passes
- Parking passes
Add a pass by scanning a barcode.
- Open the Google Wallet app .
- Tap Add to Wallet Photo.
- Take or select a clear and high-resolution photo of the pass.
- Add a name and description for the pass.
- Tap Add.
- To use the pass, select the pass and scan the barcode at a reader.
Move single device passes
Certain passes can only be saved to a single device or Google Account. These passes need to be saved with the Google Wallet app. To move them to a different device:
- Remove the pass from the current device or Google Account.
- Open the pass link from the new device.
Remove items from Google Wallet
Important: When you remove an item from your phone, smartwatch, or the Wallet website, it’s removed across devices.
Remove from phone- On your phone, open the Google Wallet app .
- Find the card or pass that you want to remove.
- For cards, you may need to swipe left to find it.
- For passes, you may need to swipe up to find it.
- Tap the card or pass.
- At the top right, tap More .
- For a card, tap Remove payment method.
- For a pass, tap Remove.
To re-add any items that you remove, follow the steps to add items in the relevant sections above.
- On your smartwatch, open the Wallet app .
- Scroll to the pass you want to remove and tap it.
- Scroll in the pass details screen.
- Tap Remove pass.
Important:
- Only users in a supported country or region can access passes on the Google Wallet website.
- Not all passes are visible on the website. Examples include:
- Private passes, such as IDs and health insurance cards
- Single device passes
To delete a pass:
- Go to the Google Wallet website.
- Select the pass that you want to remove.
- Click Remove.
Share passes, tickets & cards
You can share some passes from your Google Wallet to someone else’s Google Wallet. To share passes, tickets, and cards:
- Tap Share .
- You can share a pass if it has Share above it.
- Tap Share now.
- Once you share the link, the recipient can forward it to anyone.
- After you’ve shared the link, you can’t unsend it.
